AI Agents Are Working. Can We Keep Up?
This week, Greg Petrossian joined Kellan and me on The Fizz. The three of us have spent the past decade in consulting, and we’re all spending more of our time working with AI.
Greg is exceptionally busy and productive. He has a go-to-market role as a day job, works as a consultant, pursues his own entrepreneurial interests, and runs the Portland User Group for Power BI and Fabric. He is doing A LOT.
His AI agents are also doing A LOT.
During our conversation, Kellan mentioned that a clear sense of urgency and priority becomes even more important when you can move this fast. We’re all doing more with AI. In most cases, way more.
“I have too many projects right now,” Greg exhaled during the recording.
The question that stuck with me afterward was, “Can we keep up?”
I’ve been thinking about working a normal week without any AI as an experiment. I’d like to experience how different my day-to-day productivity really is.
Using AI can pull you into context switching faster than you’re used to. It’s tempting to get multiple things going at once, then find yourself struggling to manage it all.
So, we’re right back to concepts that came long before AI.
Have a clear sense of priority and urgency. Protect your time for your most important work.
Don’t let your AI agents drag you around and distract you.
We also discussed how we’re using our agents, our thoughts on doomerism, real risks, and what’s practical in business today. I hope you enjoy the conversation.
